36th Annual Conference

Regeneration, Repair, and Care

8th November 2024

In the spirit of reconciliation ACUADS acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.

Art and Design serve as catalysts for revitalisation by stimulating economic development, engaging communities and preserving culture, renewing physical spaces, fostering innovation, promoting social cohesion, and supporting environmental sustainability. Art and Design are also imperative in connecting us with one another and the world around us.

The 2024 ACUADS Conference embraces the theme of Regeneration, Repair, and Care:

Regeneration reflects our capacity for resilience and adaptation, inspiring inventive and transformative practices.

Repair underscores the importance of addressing systemic issues, rebuilding communities, and fostering stronger connections within our institutions and societies.

Care highlights the significance of creating nurturing and inclusive environments and interactions, prioritising the well-being of all involved.
